In other news, The International Bluegrass Music Association annual conference, World of Bluegrass, will be held this fall in our hometown of Raleigh, NC! We hope that you will support this wonderful event and visit our fantastic city for any or all of the conference, awards show and festival…there’s something for everyone at this awesome week of bluegrass! The International Bluegrass Music Association announced its plans today to move its World of Bluegrass events to Raleigh, North Carolina for the next three years, 2013-2015. World of Bluegrass Week includes the four-day IBMA Business Conference, the International Bluegrass Music Awards Show, and the three-day Bluegrass Fan Fest. The annual industry summit/bluegrass family reunion draws over 16,000 fans, artists, and music industry professionals from around the world for the week-long event, with an estimated 8,000-10,000 coming from outside the region. World of Bluegrass provides opportunities for showcasing, professional development, and networking at the largest concentrated week of powerful, live bluegrass music on the planet.
The following World of Bluegrass dates have been announced, with the option for a five- or seven-day event each year:
September 23 – 29, 2013
September 29 – October 5, 2014
September 28 – October 4, 2015

The Kickin Grass Band is back in the good ol’USof A! We had an unbelievable experience in Canada, check out our Facebook Page for photos!
We have been hard at work on our upcoming album and have cut 10 songs so far with more to do. Jerry Brown at The Rubber Room in Chapel Hill, NC has been great to work with, as always! We are trying out our new material at upcoming shows so be sure to come out and let us know what you think!

Also, we have been busy booking more shows to wrap up the ’11 season. Take a look at our Tour Page, we have added new dates in Newport News, Va and will be playing at Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival on Friday October 7th!
