Heading North!

Hello all you Kickin Grass Fans. Less than two weeks to go before we start our North East Tour. The tour starts in Campton, NH then moves to Pennsylvania, New York City, Brooklyn, New Jersey and Upstate New York. Whew! It’s going to be a blast and we are really looking forward to it! We have new merchandise specifically for this tour so be prepared. If you want to earn some free tickets or merch, join our Street Team and help us promote the shows that are coming up, see you in a few days!

Eno River Festival

The Kickin Grass Band will be playing the Eno River Festival this Sunday July 4th! We are excited to participate in this festival that supports the conservation and protection of the Eno River Basin. There will be lots of music, poetry, arts, crafts and plenty of food! We will be playing two sets in the afternoon, hope to see you there!

Potluck in the Pasture

You’re invited to participate in ChathamArts’ 5th Annual Potluck in the Pasture on Sunday, June 13th, 5-7pm at the Student Farm on the Sustainable Agriculture Campus, Central Carolina Community College, Pittsboro.
This year, celebrate Chatham County’s agricultural and artistic riches with special guests author Clyde Edgerton and musical sensations Kickin’ Grass.
Potluck in the Pasture is a great chance for farmers and artists to: EDUCATE the public; PROMOTE themselves, and their work and SELL their work.

Saturday April 10th

The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences hosts “Bluegrass & Barbeque” on Saturday, April 10 from 7 to 10 pm. Tap your toes to live bluegrass music from The Kickin Grass Band, indulge in delicious barbecue from Kings Restaurant, and bid on vacation getaways and other interesting items at the Silent Auction. All proceeds benefit the Educators of Excellence Fund, a Museum program that provides unique continuing education opportunities for science teachers across the state. Hope to see you there!

The Kickin Grass Band Plays The Berkeley Cafe

Come on out to the Berkeley Cafe on 217 W Martin St in Raleigh, NC on Friday night for a great night of music. Doors open at 8:PM and Cadillac Stepbacks will kick things off at 9:PM Sharp. This will be our last local show for a while so don’t miss out! On Saturday we are heading up to Marion, VA to play the PBS Syndicated show Song of the Mountains if you are in the area, come on out and be on TV!

New Dates Added!

On July 31st we will be playing a show at The Berkley Cafe in Downtown Raleigh. This will be a kick off show before a run up to Virginia to film Song of The Mountains. Our friends in The Cadillac Stepbacks will open things up for us at 9:PM and we will hit the stage running at 10:00. This will be the last local show for a while so gather up your friends and come on out!

This Saturday we’ll be at The Pittsboro General Store. Gone are the days of cramping into the front corner of the store. They have expanded and errected a nice new stage complete with a new sound system. We’re looking forward to playing at one of the places that helped us get a local following. Show starts at 8:00pm.

Holly Springs Cultural Arts Center

Hi all you Kickin Grass fans. I wanted to let you know that on Saturday June 27th we will be performing at the Cultural Arts Center in Holly Springs, NC. This is a wonderful venue and is where we hosted our last Christmas Show to a Sold-Out crowd. You can order your tickets on-line through E-Tix for only $10 or you can buy them at the Box Office located at the Cultural Arts Center. We are expecting another packed house so order your tickets soon! Here’s a photo from the last show we played there.

We’re in Durham, NC this Saturday!

That’s right folks, we are playing at the 2nd Annual Festival for Wildlife at Leigh Farm Park in Durham, NC. It’s a wonderful event for a great cause, we will hit the stage at 2:30pm for a 1 hour set. Tickets are only $10 for Adults and kids 12 and under are free! Old 86, Mel Melton and the Wicked Mojos, John Howie Jr. and Cyril Lance Band will also be performing. Come on out!
