The Kickin Grass Band is heading North again this weekend, waaaayyyyyy North! We are happy to headline the 1st Annual Calgary Bluegrass Festival in Alberta, Canada. It should be a great time had by all! We are sad to miss the fun and excitement of earthquakes, hurricanes and 100 degree heat here in North Carolina but are sure it will all be waiting for us when we return!
Also, we have been busy booking more shows to wrap up the ’11 season! Take a look at our schedule tour page, we have added new dates in Newport News, Va and Baltimore! Just a reminder…don’t forget our 10 Year Anniversary Gala Event on January 14th in Durham, NC, more details to follow. The KGB will be playing and singing this Saturday night in western North Carolina at The Flat Rock Wine Shoppe’s ‘Back Room’. This is a stellar venue in Flat Rock, NC that hosts a great variety of music throughout the year. Show your support for this great venue and home grown music this Saturday night! That’s right folks, we are playing at the 2nd Annual Festival for Wildlife at Leigh Farm Park in Durham, NC. It’s a wonderful event for a great cause, we will hit the stage at 2:30pm for a 1 hour set. Tickets are only $10 for Adults and kids 12 and under are free! Old 86, Mel Melton and the Wicked Mojos, John Howie Jr. and Cyril Lance Band will also be performing. Come on out!
